Kelsey Bench AVA Vineyard
Kelseyville, CA
This 26 acre Kelsey Bench vineyard is comprised of approximately 19 acres of Sauvignon Blanc that was planted in the year 2000 with Musque clones on SO4 rootstock. The vineyard itself is set upon Bally-Phipps complex soils that share some of the same deep, well-drained, red soil that is found in the neighboring Red Hills AVA. The make-up of the soils indicate that this vineyard site is primed for Bordeaux varietals – primarily Cabernet Sauvignon. There is a modest, 1,300+/- square foot home on site, as well as a high-volume 1,000+ GPM ag well that used for all agricultural purposes on the ranch.
